Plans Submitted For New 'Governor's' Pub in Bettendorf

Governor's was my first 'watering hole' in the Quad Cities. When I performed over at Playcrafters Barn Theatre after first arriving in the Quads, we would hang out afterwards at the Governor's location in Moline.

The Moline Governor's closed a handful of years ago, and recently the Bettendorf Governor's closed its doors to make way for a Hy-Vee gas station.

According to a report from the Quad City Times, plans are being submitted to Bettendorf City Council for a new Governor's Pub after being approved by the Bettendorf Plan & Zoning Commission.

The new Governor's would be off Devil's Glen Road just north of Tanglewood, not too far from the old location.
