QC Brewer and RIA Credit Union Create Beer to Help Veterans
This is a pretty cool partnership- a brewing company and a credit union are doing something special for Quad City veterans.
Twin Span Brewing and the Rock Island Federal Credit Union (R.I.A) have created a special beer to raise funds for the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities.
R.I.A I.P.A is a new India Pale Ale described as a 'hazy IPA blended with blood orange puree for a bold fruity flavor with low bitterness', according to an RIA Federal Credit Union news release.
A donation of $2 from every can/pint of beer will help raise funds for QC veterans to take the Honor Flight from the Quad Cities. The HFQC is the local chapter of the Honor Flight Network which operates to help fly America's veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials honoring their sacrifices.
Each flight leaves from the Quad City International Airport directly and returns each night. The HFQC operates on donations from organizations individuals. Quad Citians are generously supportive of the Honor Flights.
According to Twin Span Brewing's Facebook page, the beer quickly sold out. But don't fear....they'll brew more. Here's where and when you can get it.
Wow! We sold out of this beer quickly! You guys rock!
For those who missed out, sit tight - we'll bring it back as...
Twin Span Brewing is located at the TBK Sportsplex at 6776 Championship Drive, Bettendorf. You can also order the brew online at www.twinspanbrewing.com.
