Two 18-year-old females were found dead at Jacobs Northeast Park today in East Moline. That's according to a media release from the East Moline Police Department.

Police located a vehicle running in Jacobs Northeast Park, 3025 4th Avenue, East Moline at 4:26 a.m. Inside the car, police found two dead women. According to the news release, police determined the vehicle had been parked and running at that location for several hours.

There were no immediate signs of visible injuries to the women and the cause of death has not been determined.

Police say the investigation is in its early stages and East Moline detectives are currently working on the incident. The incident is being treated as a suspicious death. The names of the women have not been released pending family notification. Rock Island County Coroner's office is working with East Moline police.
