Reduced Lanes For Road Work on Locust Street

Moline and Bettendorf are seeing lots of detours and road closures related to construction of the new I-74 bridge.

Davenport is getting on on its share of construction-related road alterations this summer too. River Drive near Federal has seen traffic hangups due to sewer reconstruction, and soon the same delays will be coming to Locust Street.

According to the City of Davenport website, beginning Monday, Locust Street will be down to one-lane in either direction through early September for road and sewer work. The work will happen between Kenwood Avenue and Broadlawn Avenue, the area roughly running for several blocks in front of Duck Creek Golf Course.

All this road work can be frustrating, but take your time. Those are dads and moms and neighbors on those construction sites.
